The dynamically developing ICT industry deserves special mention:
Companies from the ICT industry deal with the manufacture and use of both IT and telecom equipment, as well as with providing accompanying services. It is not without significance that information and communication technologies significantly translate into development of the creative sector (for example, game development), as well as electronics and machine industry, and life sciences. It should be emphasized that it is ICT that constitutes the basis of the activity of most advanced enterprises. There are about 1,150 entities in the ICT industry of Małopolska, of which about 680 are registered in Krakow. Krakow is a place where global IT companies have their branches and employ graduates of IT majors at several Krakow universities. Work related to ICT, offering very attractive remuneration, can now be found in enterprises of the industry and in virtually every business organization. Currently, mainly programmers are sought in Krakow. It should be emphasized that this trend is gaining strength not only in Krakow, but also throughout Poland.
