About us

The Business in Małopolska Centre (CeBiM) is a unique initiative in Poland, aimed at improving investor and exporter services and economic promotion of the region.

The Business in Małopolska Centre is comprised of: a regional development institution – the Małopolska Regional Development Agency (joint stock company), local government – the Marshal’s Office of the Małopolska Region, and one of the most important institutions supporting foreign direct investments -  Kraków Technology Park (limited liability company) and Małopolskie Parki Przemysłowe Sp. z o.o.

Małopolska Regional Development Agency - One of the largest institutions of this type in Poland, focusing on important undertakings leading to positive changes in the regional environment: restructuring of the economy, land development, servicing EU programmes, cooperation with local government authorities, investment services,  enterprise support as well as international cooperation and building the image of Małopolska in Europe and worldwide.  Is a significant regional institution in the field of grants for the SME sector (it is the Regional Financing Institution). The Agency has developed its own financial instruments to support the enterprise sector. It is a specialized partner institution for regional and local governments, nongovernmental organizations and representatives of various professional groups, as well as for international partners implementing initiatives for the development of Małopolska Region.
The Marshal’s Office of the Małopolska Region determines the directions of economic policy aimed at economic development of the Region. The Task Force for Economic Promotion promotes Małopolska by implementing information policies and promoting the economic potential of the Region. The Taskforce supports services for national and foreign investors interested in starting business activity in the Region. Furthermore, it organizes and co-organizes events aimed at promoting the Małopolska Region.  It also carries out research concerning investment promotion, as well as preparing reports pertaining to foreign investments implemented in the Region. 
Kraków Technology Park (KPT) is a company managing the Kraków special economic zone and the technology park. KPT has been operating since 1997. So far, 86 companies have invested within the zone - among them small and medium enterprises, such as Car Technology and Unipress, and also well-known ones: MAN Trucks, Comarch, RP Donnelly, Motorola and Shell. So far, 9000 new jobs have been created within the Kraków zone (the zone area exceeds 500 ha). The KPT offer includes greenfield investment areas located in 18 Małopolska communes. It also offers office space rental within the zone. 
Małopolskie Parki Przemysłowe Sp. z o.o. was established in 2005 by the Małopolska Voivodeship and the Kraków Technology Park in order to initiate, support and promote the economic development of the Małopolska region.
The company performs its tasks by locating new economic undertakings in the region, obtaining investment areas, providing consulting services as well as creating and managing investment zones and industrial parks.
The main task of the company was to prepare 140 ha of land for the investment of M.A.N. Trucks Sp. z o.o. in Niepołomice. Currently, having fulfilled the basic commitment, the company continues its mission by preparing new investment areas and creating economic activity zones in the Małopolska region.
