“Since my earliest childhood, I have dreamed of Krakow”, said Andrzej Wajda during yesterday’s event at ICE Kraków.

The keynote topic of the Annual Business in Małopolska Meeting this year was "Małopolska - European Entrepreneurial Region". The conference was held on 22 October 2015 in a new building of Kraków Technology Park, which impressed participants with its original design. The special guest of the meeting was Mr. Bronisław Komorowski, the former President of Poland.

Four new permits to operate in Kraków Special Economic Zone (SEZ) were issued by the company managing the zone. It was also announced that another five permits would be issued after completing the procedure of extending the area of the SEZ.


KRAKOW, 8 October 2015 – CH2M, the employee-owned engineering and programme management company today (8 October 2015) announced it will be creating 800 new jobs through the opening of its new Global Production and Shared Service Centre in Krakow.

Malopolska region has been awarded the title of European Entrepreneurial Region (EER) of 2016. The title is awarded by the Committee of the Regions - EU advisory body representing European regional and local authorities. The award is granted to the regions which presented the most future-oriented "visions of entrepreneurship development". This is the first Polish region that has received this award.
