KRAKOW, 8 October 2015 – CH2M, the employee-owned engineering and programme management company today (8 October 2015) announced it will be creating 800 new jobs through the opening of its new Global Production and Shared Service Centre in Krakow.

Five Polish provinces and five special economic zones signed agreements on developing economic areas along Expressway S7. The development of this area will create new jobs. Individual regions and consequently the country's economy will benefit from these agreements.

Malopolska region has been awarded the title of European Entrepreneurial Region (EER) of 2016. The title is awarded by the Committee of the Regions - EU advisory body representing European regional and local authorities. The award is granted to the regions which presented the most future-oriented "visions of entrepreneurship development". This is the first Polish region that has received this award.
